Our lined water bowls are designed primarily to help reduce internal rust run-off and keep the water clearer during the weathering process. The internal lining is a functional protective coating rather than a decorative polished finish. As a result, the appearance may vary slightly between bowls and can display visible application marks, texture variation, surface scratches, scuffs, or handling marks when dry and in direct sunlight. Once filled with water, the interior naturally appears darker, richer, and more reflective, as shown in our product photography.
Please note:
-The lining is applied by hand.
-The finish is intended as a practical protective coating and is not designed to resemble gloss paint, enamel, or automotive-style lacquer.
-Surface marks, scratches, scuffs, texture variation, and other cosmetic imperfections are normal characteristics of the lining process and do not affect the functionality of the bowl.
-The exterior of the bowl will continue to weather naturally as standard Corten steel.
-If the lining becomes damaged during transit and the steel beneath the coating is exposed, we can provide a complimentary touch-up pot of lining paint. To arrange this, customers must provide clear photographs showing the affected area so that our team can assess the damage before replacement paint is issued.
-Minor cosmetic marks or scratches that do not expose the steel beneath the lining are considered normal characteristics of a hand-finished product and do not affect performance.
Crafted from 4mm thick Corten Steel (thickness varies by size) available in various diameters:
-800mm (3mm, 31L) / weight 30kg
-1000mm (3mm, 61L) / weight 50kg
-1200mm (3mm, 111L) / weight 70kg
-Weathers to develop its own protective rust finish
-Can be at any point throughout the weathering process when received
-Any surface marks/scratches will disappear as the steel weathers
-Sits on circular foot welded to base
The interior is coated with Eurochlor 1 chlorinated rubber pond paint (3x coats), which is safe for aquatic life once fully cured. If re-painting is required, do not introduce aquatic life immediately — allow a minimum of 7 days curing time before refilling and always follow the paint manufacturer’s guidance.
Smaller-sized and light weight garden features that fit into a box are typically delivered by a trusted courier service. Larger features, due to their size and weight, will arrive on a pallet or be delivered by one of our own vehicles if you are located locally.
