1966 Airstream Caravel

This lovely and original Airstream was owned from new by a single owner and then passed on to his son. The son, a classic car dealer, in Texas had the trailer polished to a very high standard and made several improvements to it before deciding to sell it due to a lack of use. Whilst in the family ownership it remained under cover for the entire time unless being used.

The Airstream was then purchased and imported into the UK by Vintage Travel Trailers who converted the interior electrics and running lights to UK specification and organised a UK axle conversion using the original wheels. The Airstream was then sold to a UK classic car enthusiast who also stored it undercover but seldom used it, so a few years later sold it back to them who we purchased it off a few month ago for guest accommodation.

It has the most original interior you could possibly find other than having been re-upholstered. It has a first class body with all of the original Corning curved glass windows. This is probably the best Caravel available anywhere in today’s market and as such is a true collector’s item. Measuring 17 feet with a body of 14 feet it is very light to tow and can be towed by most vehicles but please check first. Up to date gas certificate.
