4 Bay Oak Garages
A 4 bay oak garage offers substantial space for several vehicles, with capacity left over for storage, a workshop, or other uses. Available in gable, hip, or barn-hip roof styles, each design can be made with features such as side aisles, log stores, or partitions.

Why Choose a 4 Bay Oak Garage?
A 4 bay oak garage is the right choice for households with multiple vehicles or those needing extensive storage. Its large footprint provides scope for far more than parking, with many customers using the space as a workshop, utility area, or even a home office.Â
Built from structural oak using mortise and tenon joinery, each frame is made for lasting strength. Due to their size, 4 bay garages require both planning permission and building regulation approval, which our team can help guide you through.
Design Variants & Add-ons
Our 4 bay oak garage range includes 12 standard designs, with both 4 and 4.5 bay layouts to suit different requirements. Roof options include gable, hip, or barn-hip profiles, allowing you to match the style of your property.Â
Each frame can be extended with log stores, half bays, side aisles, or internal partitions to add storage or create defined spaces. You can also adjust the footprint, upgrade cladding, add garage doors or windows, and choose from a variety of roofing materials.Â
For projects that require something more specific, we also offer a full bespoke design service.

What’s Included in Your Kit
Every 4 bay oak garage kit includes oak posts and beams, curved braces, kiln-dried pegs, pre-cut rafters, soleplates, studwork, treated featheredge cladding, granite staddle stones, and all required fixings.
Each frame is dry-fitted in our workshop, with numbered joints for straightforward assembly. Roofing can be finished with cedar shingles, oak shingles, tiles, or slates, and optional joinery such as garage doors, side doors, and windows can be added to your order.

Build & Delivery
Lead times for 4 bay oak garages are typically around 6 weeks. Delivery is available across mainland England and Wales, with charges based on size, weight, and location. Each frame is pre-assembled in our workshop and delivered with numbered joints for straightforward assembly.Â
Many customers choose to self-build or use a local contractor, but we can also recommend trusted fitters if required.
Planning & Building Regulations
All 4 bay oak garages require planning permission due to their size. Building regulations will also apply if the footprint exceeds 30m², if the structure is within 1m of a boundary and larger than 15m², or if the design includes habitable accommodation.Â
We can help by providing planning drawings and guidance to support your application, but final approval always rests with your local council. Regulations vary by location, so we recommend confirming requirements with your planning office before starting your project.
